Pole Dance

Categories:

• Mini F/M (4–8 years) — amateur only
• Children F/M (9–12 years)
• Junior F/M (13–17 years)
• Adult Female / Male (18–39 years)
• Senior Female / Male (40+ years)
• Mix Doubles — Junior (17 or under) & Adult (18+)

Key points:

• Poles — two Lupit competition poles (45 mm, 4 m high, 3.5 m apart); static on the left, spinning on the right from the audience's view. Both poles must be used equally.
• Routine length — 2–4 minutes, depending on the category.
• Compulsory elements — every category has its own (static combo, spinning combo, floor sequence — more of them in the professional division).
• Element recognition — an element counts when held for at least 2 seconds on the static pole, or for a full rotation on the spinning pole.
• Costume, hair & makeup — must complement the theme and storyline of the choreography; intimate areas must remain covered.
• Props — allowed if they can be set up and removed within 1 minute; no fire, confetti or dangerous objects.
• Grip aids — magnesium, silica or natural wax are allowed; rosin-based products are forbidden.
• Competitors under 18 — written permission from a parent or guardian is required; spotters are allowed in the Mini & Children categories.

Aerial Hoop, Silk & Hammock

Categories:

• Mix Doubles — Junior (17 or under) & Adult (18+)

Key points:

• Aerial hoop — 95 cm for Mini & Children, 100 cm for Junior, Adult & Senior (single point), 105 cm for Doubles (two points).
• Aerial silk — rigged at 7 m, 8 m total length, pre-stretched and prepared for all categories.
• Aerial hammock — specifications will be published by the organizer before the end of qualifications.
• Routine length — 2–4 minutes, depending on the category.
• Compulsory elements — every category has its own (dynamic combo, flexy combo, floor sequence — more of them in the professional division).
• Element recognition — an element counts when held for at least 2 seconds, entry and exit not included.
• Costume, hair & makeup — must complement the theme and storyline of the choreography; intimate areas must remain covered.
• Props — allowed if they can be set up and removed within 1 minute; no fire, confetti or dangerous objects.
• Grip aids — may be applied to the hands and body, but never to the apparatus itself.
• Competitors under 18 — written permission from a parent or guardian is required; spotters are allowed in the Mini & Children categories.

General Notes

• The organizer reserves the right to amend and adapt these rules, and is obliged to inform competitors of any such change in good time.
• The number of competitors per category is limited. If a category fills up before registration closes, the organizer may close registration for that category early.
• A competitor entering more than one category or discipline must submit a separate application and pay a separate entry fee for each category and discipline.
• The division of categories by sex (M/F) refers to biological sex.
